Making Du’a in Sajdah During Salah

Question

Is it permissible to make dua in sajdah during salaat – if so, is it permissable to make dua in the fard salaat & is it permissable for both worldly & akhirah duas?

Answer

In the name of Allāh, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-raḥmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

A person should suffice on the tasbihaat only in the fard salaat, however one may read dua’s in the sajda of nafl salaat.[1]
