Question:
Please can you tell me I saw a dream after doing the istikhara for marriage but I forgot the dream now. It was important for my life. Is there any way to remember it or should I do istikhara again. Please advice. Jazak Allah Khair
Answer:
In the name of Allāh, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-raḥmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
The term Istikhara means to seek Khair and goodness from the side of Allah Ta‘ala. When a person makes Istikhara, Allah Ta‘ala will place Khair and goodness in whatever decision he / she makes. It is not necessary that one has to see a dream after performing Istikharah. The mere inclination you perceive is sufficient. If you still doubt on the issue, continue to make Istikhara until you are completely satisfied.
