Someone Told me to Recite “Ya Ali Adrikini Fi Sabilillah”

Question:

Someone told me to recite “Ya Ali Adrikini Fi Sabilillah” for my problems. Can u Please tell me is it right to recite this? Please reply. Thank You.

Answer:

In the name of Allāh, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-ramatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

It is not permissible to call out to the dead for any kind of help or assistance.[1]
Such an act constitutes kufr, the implications of which are major. If a person is married his marriage terminates. He will have to make tawbah and renew his Iman and Nikah. If he does not do that, his relationship with his wife will be an adulterous one. If his “wife” conceives in that stage and gives birth, the child will be illegitimate.
