Could I take insulin whilst fasting

Question:

Dear Mufti

I am diabetic could I take an insulin whilst fasting, please advice me.

Answer:

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

It is permissible to take insulin whilst fasting provided that it is not injected directly into the stomach.[1]
