In the name of Allāh, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-raḥmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

The preferred time for Tahajjud Ṣalāh is when one wakes up from sleep in the last portion of the night. However, if one is unable to wake up in the last portion of the night to perform Tahajjud Ṣalāh, he may perform few Rak’āt Nafl with the intention of Tahajjud before going to sleep. [1]

The time for Tahajjud remains until al-Ṣubḥ al-Ṣādiq (break of dawn).

And Allah Ta‘ālā knows best
